Video Tutorials Available Now

by Brian Tyree

Not everyone learns in the same manner. Some individuals are able to pick up a manual, skim through it, and perform a task without a problem. Others require someone to talk them through a step-by-step process so they can ask questions along the way. Some individuals are more visually-oriented, and like to see the process in action. Video tutorials are perfect for this type of learning, as the procedure is shown and then allows the individuals to replicate it themselves.

Utilizing remote control technology, the Help Desk staff are able to take control of an individual’s computer and provide step-by-step instruction. However, doing so can be both time-consuming and the individual has no documentation that allows them to replicate the process at a later time. Video tutorials are a valuable self-help tool. They allow an individual to visually see a task being performed and can be utilized continually if needed by the individual.
